Building on the idea behind the Female StartAperitivo, the Female Founders Contest has evolved into a Germany-wide pitch competition for female-led start-ups.
What began six years ago as a local project in Hamburg – initiated by the Hamburg Investors Network – is now a nationwide movement. With 12 semi-finals and a grand final in Potsdam in 2026, the successful concept is now being further professionalised and scaled up under a new name. The Female StartAperitivo will continue as a Hamburg event – as the origin and heart of the movement.
On 04 June 2026, this format will also return to Mitteldeutschland (Saxony, Saxony Anhalt & Thuringia), taking place at MACHN Festival in Leipzig. Supported by Spirit Legal, Ostwerk, Kravag, and many more, we, the Business Angels Club Berlin-Brandenburg e.V., are giving female founders and their start-ups the stage and the network of investors and stakeholders they deserve.
