In Germany, we have enormous potential that too often remains untapped: women in the start-up and VC scene. To change this, a Hamburg success story is now scaling up nationwide. What began as ‘Female StartAperitivo’ is now becoming the Female Founders Contest.
On 26 March 2026, the Brandenburg semi-final will take place at the fx.center Babelsberg. Under the auspices of Mayor Noosha Aubel and Minister of Economic Affairs Daniel Keller, the Business Angels Club Berlin-Brandenburg, together with the state capital Potsdam and the Brandenburg Economic Development Agency, is giving eight female founders the stage they deserve.
Why participate?
The winning team will not only secure a slot in the national final on 10 September 2026 at the Waschhaus Arena, but will also receive a €500 cash prize from KRAVAG Insurance and access to an exclusive investors network.
The criteria for start-ups:
✅ Based in Brandenburg & already founded.
✅ At least one female identifying co-founder in the co-founding team (minimum 10% shareholding) who is operationally active and pitches.
✅ Start-ups only: scalable, innovative, exit-driven (no traditional start-ups).
✅ Traction available (>€0 turnover or funding).
